PLR Blog: Tunerfest & Time Attack @ Oulton Park:
At the end of July, we headed down to Oulton Park for Tunerfest and Time Attack. Think of it as a much smaller version of the Trax show, with drifting demos, public track time and also Time Attack holding a round there. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side, which considering the summer we have been having was rare. For the Time attack boys, it did make things interesting as there was a heavy downpour just before the first class went out for qualifying. So as you can expect at first the big powered cars where struggling. But as the rain passed and the circuit dried, the higher powered cars started to set faster and faster times.
The steal of the show was the grey and yellow evo, with its side exhaust, the power that thing was running the pace it had in a straight line was mental, never mind the sound. As you can also see in the gallery, there were some very nice BMW’s with someone even putting an M2 through its paces. There was also a good presence for Ford with the SCC team showing good speed. In the actual show, there were a couple of “halo” cars hidden about, and also some of your more normal show cars. Have a look at the gallery below, and stay tuned for more news soon!
